Trampoline Covers
Trampoline covers are an accessory that protects your trampoline from various elemental and natural forces. This helps extend the lifetime of the average trampoline. A trampoline cover prevents the jumping mat from discoloration and tarnish due to the sun’s UV rays, dew, rain, bird droppings, dirt, insects, snow ad falling leaves and branches. While the trampoline bed or mat is weather proof to an extent, the addition of a trampoline cover ensures increased longevity and protection from the above natural problems that can cause rotting and discoloration. A trampoline cover also prevents unauthorized usage when you are not present. The cover in place becomes a signal that a person is not to use the trampoline.
A trampoline spring cover or the term trampoline spring covers does refer to a cover intended for spring usage. Trampoline spring covers are simply covers for the trampoline. All trampoline covers must cover the exposed springs. This helps to protect the springs as well as the trampoline surface or bed/mat. The material for covers is usually nylon, tent fabric or the more expensive PVC.
Buying a trampoline cover requires knowing the size of your trampoline as well as the make or brand. Some trampoline covers are universal. The 13’ trampoline cover by Fun Spot, for example, fits almost any maker of this size round trampoline. Trampoline Parts and Supplies list trampoline covers that fit all round, square or rectangular trampolines. Starbounding.com, however, lists trampoline covers specifically designed for their own line of trampolines – the mini trampolines known as Star Rebounders.

Another option for protecting your trampoline is a tent cover. A tent cover for a trampoline is exactly what its name suggests. They are tents that surround and include the trampoline. You can sleep in the tents, but instead of a mattress, you sleep on a trampoline. There are several brands of trampoline tent covers. The various shops and manufacturers suggest the usage.
Trampoline tent covers are for children or for those who are children at heart. The AlleyOop Outback tent, for example is a “trampoline bounce house.” It fits AlleyOop and Jump Sport Safety Enclosures. The ad also refers to it as a tent tree house, almost 14’ round. This indicates the usage, the sale’s pitch and the size of the trampoline it fits. The more unusual tent for a trampoline is Jump Sport’s BigTop Tent. It, too, is a bounce house or backyard camp out. The shape of this particular tent, however, is not round. The Big Top Tent is eight-sided like a circus tent.
